While cleaning will still be necessary with this design to remove debris on screen, it should be less frequent and still reduces possibility of gutter clogging and failing.
3. Bottle Brush Gutter Guard - In essence, this design is upward facing bristles inside the gutter that, like the mesh screen design, allows debris to rest on top while water flows down into the main channel
4. Nylon Gutter Guard - Not the most popular choice for gutter guards in sunny Florida as these are the gold standard for preventing the accumulation of ice and snow in gutters. These guards slip into an existing gutter and do not attach to any shingles thus are easy to install.
5. Foam Gutter Guard - Made from polyurethane, these gutter guards fit seamlessly into existing gutters and allow water to drain into the main channel while any debris rests on top. Like the mesh screen, they do accumulate debris on top and require cleaning, however they are especially effective at avoiding mould and mildew build up inside the gutter itself.
